So either she gets tough and risks inflaming tension on campus or she holds back and does nothing and her words before Congress immediately look hollow. We have seen intense feelings about this conflict play out in Hollywood. We’ve seen them in our politics in all kinds of interesting ways. That reality, that taking a different tack that was supposed to be full of learnings and lessons from the stumbles of her peers, the fact that didn’t really work suggests that there’s something really intractable going on here.
